Campaign Methodology

The total amount of gifts needed to fulfill all of the campaign projects is slightly more than $29 million. While this is a sizable amount, it is a very small fraction of the Lord's wealth that has been given to men and women to manage on God's behalf.

Dr. Draper and the rest of the campaign team understand that involving the friends in giving through designated ministry projects is a new concept for LifeWay. Yet, there is no doubt that the funding for these projects does exist among the friends of LifeWay. The success of the campaign will come about as each person and/or family, as stewards of God's wealth, make decisions about how to invest those resources to bring about positive change world wide as individual lives are transformed on a case by case basis.

All friends of LifeWay are encouraged to participate in A Defining Moment and can do so by contacting LifeWay via this website. However, the method initially used for funding the campaign is the formation of a small group of campaign leaders known as the President's Cabinet. They in turn have reached out and will continue to contact others to establish a larger group known as the Circle of Influence.

Members of both groups will continue to expand the outreach by contacting friends, hosting A Defining Moment gatherings in their homes and seeking assistance through other personal and business contacts.

It is anticipated that the bulk of the funding will come from major gifts provided by members of the President's Cabinet and Circle of Influence and those with whom they have personal contact. Additional commitments will always be welcome regardless of the size of the commitment and/or gift.
