Discipleship in India

India has 16 percent of the world's population, but only about 1.6 percent of the people has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Our desire is to see individuals and churches in India spiritually transformed to the extent that the entire culture is influenced and changed by people who reflect the characteristics of Jesus Christ.

Understanding the restrictions that exist, but knowing the enthusiasm of the people for Christ when presented with the Gospel, this project will provide a venue for discipleship training that will transform the church in India.

Some of the goals are to train 500 writers, 12,000 teachers and leaders in Ongoing Open Bible Study, and 12,000 church members in Progressive Spiritual Transformational Discipleship. As a result, India will have strong, vital churches that are reaching the lost, making a strong, positive impact in Indian society, and training others.

Our effort will increase the resources and capabilities of Christ-followers to be more effective "kingdom-builders," and it will educate others and/or increase their knowledge and understanding of who God is in our lives.
